Affordable Housing Advisory Council
FHLBank Pittsburgh will soon announce the winner of its 2012 Council’s Award. Named in recognition of our Affordable Housing Advisory Council, this award is given to a banker who has demonstrated outstanding efforts in the field of housing and community development. The award signifies the spirit of our mission and purpose.
Qualifications include:
- The nominee recommended must be associated with a member institution of FHLBank Pittsburgh;
- The institution represented must be in good standing with FHLBank Pittsburgh;
- The nominee must have served in banking for a minimum of three (3) years; and
- The nomination should demonstrate the nominee’s achievements in banking, community development and corporate citizenry.

The Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Council)
is a 15-member advisory committee with the purpose
of providing direction and recommendations as
it relates to FHLBank Pittsburgh's affordable
housing and community development programs. Council
members serve a three-year term, at which time
they must be re-appointed for another three-year
term. The maximum number of consecutive terms
is three, for a total time of nine consecutive
years of service.
The Council is comprised of representatives from
the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania and West
Virginia and its members represent nonprofit and
for-profit organizations. The Council works closely
with the FHLBank's Community Investment Department
staff to help shape policy and to provide recommendations
on program creation, changes and/or enhancements.
The FHLBank Board of Directors has final authority
as to the alteration of an existing program or
addition of any new program.
